GoodQuickLook Permissions

Local File Access

Quick Look previews are triggered by macOS after you select a file in Finder. GoodQuickLook only reads the file needed for the preview that you requested.

Security Settings

If macOS blocks the app or extension, open System Settings > Privacy & Security and confirm that GoodQuickLook is allowed to run. Some systems may require opening the app once before the extension becomes available.

Sandboxed Locations

Files in protected locations may require an explicit Finder or system permission. Move a test file to Desktop or Downloads to confirm whether the issue is permission related.

Privacy Notes

  • Preview rendering happens locally on your Mac.
  • File contents are not uploaded for Quick Look rendering.
  • App Store purchases and support messages may be handled by external services.
